ACCESS RIGHTS AND DATA PROTECTION

iOS app asks access permission when it is needed and Google Play Store asks all the permission before downloading the app. FishBrain asks access to:

Phone number verification is protecting the FishBrain community from spam and allows you to connect with your friends.

In-App purchases: In case you like to upgrade to Premium. By going Premium you get to see the big data of all public exact catch locations. Also you will see top baits for fishing methods and fish species and you have access to 7 days of fishing forecast.

Contacts: Makes inviting friends easier. Allows you to connect with your phone & e-mail contacts via FishBrain. Optional to use. 

Location: App recognizes the place you were fishing automatically and pinpoints it in fishing map + records automatic weather data for your catch. It is easy to keep position private.

Photos/Media/Files & Camera: Allows you to add photos from camera gallery to your catch reports. Makes it so much more fun to save catches and moments as photos.

Wi-Fi connection information: Allows the app to view information whether Wi-Fi is enabled and names of connected Wi-Fi devices.

Device ID & call information: Needed for push notifications. Push notifications can be turned off in Phone settings.

We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall and continuously update our infrastructure to keep up with the latest security standards.

We analyze account behavior for fraudulent or otherwise anomalous behavior, may limit use of app features in response to possible signs of abuse, may remove inappropriate content or links to illegal content, and may suspend or disable accounts for violations of our Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
